Pastor Ron's Bio

Pastor Ron Hunt grew up in Minnesota and pursued a major in Religion at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN.  Feeling the call to ministry, Ron attended and graduated from Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary in California with a Master's of Divinity.  Pacific allowed seminarians to take courses with other nearby seminaries (Presbyterian, Methodist, United Church of Christ, Franciscan, and Jesuit and Roman Catholic seminaries) which enhanced Ron's passion for an ecumenical, inclusive faith orientation. After graduation, Pastor Ron joined and was ordained in the United Church of Christ for its inter-denominational and "love for all" emphasis.

Ron met his wife, Lisa, while employed as a Chaplain Intern at California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, CA.  They have been married since 1987.

Pastor Ron has served UCC, Lutheran, and Presbyterian Churches, and has participated in Inter-Faith councils and special services. He also served as Executive Director of a Methodist Counseling Center.

Ron was also a Licensed Psychologist in the state of Minnesota and was a Marriage and Family Therapist in California. He loves hosting couples retreats and offering sessions on growing and developing our personal relationship with God.

He lives with his wife Lisa at Robson Ranch in Eloy, AZ.

He is an avid pickleball and softball player, and an outdoor enthusiast in his spare time.
